How many will the Shed hold?

The Shed has multiple spaces. The indoor space can hold over 200+ (170 with tables and chairs), but can also be made more intimate to accommodate smaller parties.

 

The outdoor terrace and porch space can easily hold 300+ standing and 225+ with chairs.

We also have greenspace available by the creek or in the surrounding meadow to accommodate even more if your party needs extra room.

What kinds of spaces are available?

We have the indoor shed area which is a rustic setting with decor that highlights the history and culture of North Georgia.

​

We have a huge back porch overlooking the terrace and observation deck areas, that is perfect for enjoying a quiet evening with the sounds of nature surrounding you.

​

There is a two-tier stone terrace connected to our observation deck that is overlooking an all natural stone bottom creek. It is a perfect location for weddings, concerts, or other outside shindigs. 

​

We also have greenspaces beside the creek.
 

How much does it cost?

We create a custom quote for each specific event to be sure that we are able to provide exactly what you need for your dreams and your budget. A full wedding weekend package might be in the $7,000-$12,000 range, while a simple 4 hour birthday party might fall closer to $500+. It all depends on what amenities your event needs and how long it lasts. You will receive a personal concierge to help you sort out exactly how to create the perfectly balanced package for your budget and dreams.

What events can you host?

Our facility is able to host just about any kind of event.

It is perfect for weddings, receptions, celebrations of life, reunions, birthday parties, corporate parties, trainings, and fun family cookouts by the creek, 
 

What amenities are available?

The Shed comes with 100 chairs and 15 Tables as needed with most rentals. It has 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen and food prep area. There is also a large television, wifi internet and basic sound system. We strive to always have the Shed decorated with seasonal decor and antiques that highlight the history of northeast Georgia.

Is a planner required? 

We do require an event coordinator. This doesn't have to be a special outside coordinator, but we do require a point person for us to facilitate any changes or updates with. A bride or groom may book a wedding, but if they are going to be preoccupied the day of the event we like to have someone else as a "coordinator" to communicate with on the day of the event.
 

If I’m having a wedding can I have my rehearsal there as well?

You certainly can have your rehearsal at the Shed, but it is an additional charge. For more specifics ask our event coordination concierge when you are booking.
 

Can we have alcohol?

Alcohol is allowed on campus so long as all the laws of the state of Georgia are observed regarding it's distribution and consumption. The Shed is not setup to provide a bar service, but liscensed outside parties are allowed to serve. (Requires additional deposit and specific insurance)
 

Can we play in the creek?

Absolutely! Part of the joy of Papa's Creek has always been our family playing in the water of the rock bottom creek. We just ask that people be respective of the natural beauty of the area and not damage creek banks or greenspaces and to pick up any litter.

Is there Parking?

Parking is available on site for up to 75 cars, additional parking can be reserved for specific events, coordinate with your Shed concierge.

Are there noise restrictions?

Outdoor music or other noises is welcome and allowed, however we do ask that it be lowered to an acceptable and intimate level after 12 midnight to be respectful of neighbors.

 

Does the Shed have cooking facilities?

The Shed has a full kitchen access available for renters. 

 

How long are vendors/caterers allowed on site before event?

Each event is different. vendors and caterers are allowed on site early, but may require additional charges depending on the event specifics.
 

Is insurance required and how do we get it?

Yes insurance is required to rent the Shed. Ask your concierge to find out more specific details. Depending on the event, insurance can start as low as $75.
